Calling All Innovators!

Are you ready to tackle the sargassum influxes head-on? The Miami-Dade Innovation Authority invites you to participate in its first ever Public Innovation Challenge which focuses on turning the sargassum crisis into an opportunity for innovation and sustainable solutions!

Launched in July, this open call seeks novel and sustainable uses to beneficially repurpose sargassum. The inaugural innovation challenge will select at least three (3) global start-ups to receive a $100,000 equity investment to fund further research and development around sustainable solutions that process sargassum in an environmentally responsible manner and prioritize the health and safety of end users.

The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, September 29, 2023.
