Costa Rica joins France’s initiative to combat sargassum in the Caribbean at COP28 on climate change

More exciting news from COP28!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, recently posted an article which highlights Costa Rica’s solidarity with France at COP28, supporting the fight against sargassum influxes. In 2019 France introduced a proposal at an International Conference held in Guadeloupe aiming to jointly and effectively address the massive sargassum influxes in the Caribbean. Costa Rica affirms its commitment to actively collaborating in this initiative, providing knowledge, experience and resources to find sustainable solutions that protect marine ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.

The union of efforts at the international level is essential to confront this problem and protect the environment!
