The “Wider Caribbean-EU Regional Conference on Sargassum:Converting sargassum: Converting sargassum into an opportunity,” is scheduled to take place on 15 June 2023 at the Convention Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The conference will bring together experts, government representatives, and key players from the EU and the wider Caribbean. This initiative is part of the preparations for the EU-CELAC Summit in July 2023 in Brussels.

The aim is to share experiences and knowledge to promote the sustainable management of sargassum, address its impact and present comprehensive and sustainable solutions to convert it into an opportunity for sustainable development in the region.

The accreditations will be available for withdrawal from the lobby of Salon A at the Convention Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 14 June 2023, from 8 a.m. to 00 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1: 00 p.m. to 4 p.m. to 00 p.m. (local time Santo Domingo) and from 08: 00 to 8: 30 a.m. at the same place on 15 June 2023.
